Netherlands
is privately recognized as Holland, is the constitutional
monarchy of northwestern Europe. The country's
capital and largest city is Amsterdam.
The total area of Netherlands is a 41,526 sq km
(16,033 sq mi), of which 33,939 sq km (13,104
sq mi) is the land and some7,643 sq km is water.
From the northern Fisian Isalnds to Zeeland in
the South, Netherlands imbues with contrast.
It is bordered on the north and west by the North
Sea, on the east by Germany, and on the south
by Belgium. With Belgium and Luxembourg, the Netherlands
forms the Low Countries or Benelux.
The Netherlands Antilles and Aruba, self-governing
island territories in the Caribbean, are part
of the kingdom.

The Netherlands
shares the temperate maritime climate common to
much of northern and western Europe. Average annual
precipitation is about 760 mm (30 in).The average
January temperature is 1.7° C (35° F),
and the mean July temperature is 17° C (63°
F) that is, the climate is always flattering with
a mild winter and cool summers attracting visitors.
Cloudless days are uncommon, as is prolonged frost.
Because the Netherlands has few natural barriers,
such as high mountains, the climate varies little
from region to region.
Religion:
The Netherlands
has no official religion, but the Reformed Church
has had a close association with the state since
the founding of the Dutch Republic in the mid-17th
century. All the country's monarchs have been
members of the Reformed Church.
