History

Geneva was a border post of the Roman Empire during the middle age. It has been inhabited for the past 12000 years. It became the heart of banking and watch making during 18th century. It was joined with Swiss Confederation in the year 1815.

It became the headquarters of the League of Nations, predecessor of the UN after World War 1.
